Location(s): India; Mumbai, Kochi
Role Summary:In this role, you will be responsible for leading Program Management Office (PMO) for OFS digital engineering team in India. You will be working collaboratively with product owners and functional management teams to ensure on time delivery of software programs, meeting quality requirements and exceeding customer expectations. You will also be responsible for managing program budgets and meeting op plans.
Essential Responsibilities:• Ensure all releases are delivered as per the commitment, meet defined release criteria and the customer expectations• Collaborate with Product owners and systems engineering to define product backlog that maximizes business value within the financial and time constraints• Work with product owners, PMO and functional management to define short term and long term release roadmap• Identify technology gaps to meet release roadmap and work with functional managers to define the NTIs. Provide required support during NTI execution, as needed• Monitor and report out site level program progress to all stakeholders periodically. Set the processes for program monitoring, as appropriate• Monitor overall program budgets for actual vs plan, software capex and expenses, and report out the status periodically. Identify and report out any potential risks or misses upfront and drive mitigation• Manage and de-risk dependencies between various releases within the solution and platform • Work closely with Release managers and/or scrum masters to identify systematic issues and constraints in program execution and drive their effective closure• Responsible for ensuring that all non-software deliverables (packaging, documentation, installs) are completed within the schedule of the Release.• Champion release management practices within the Agile delivery teams such as TDD, BDD, refactoring, value stream mapping, continuous delivery methodologies etc• Drive continuous improvement in program execution processes by leveraging best practices, new tools and technologies• Mentor release managers and scrum masters to improve their release management competencies. Identify training needs and execute the training plan as defined, • Responsible for the cross functional coordination with sourcing, legal, finance, and operations, as required• Facilitate the relevant NPI business reviews.
Qualifications/Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering with at least 12 years of software development experience• Minimum 10 years working with Agile teams.• Demonstrated experience scaling Agile methods to a large enterprise. • Demonstrated ability to “inspect and adapt” new processes, as appropriate• Able to assess the Agile maturity of teams via clear analytics.• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills• Strong oral and written communication skills• Software programming experience• Ability to work effectively in matrix organization• Coaching high performing teams
Desired Characteristics:• Experience of leading globally dispersed/virtual teams• Basic understanding for oil field services domain• Black Belt certification
