Location(s): Poland; Warsaw
Role Summary:Working in the Subsea controls team the Electrical/Electronics engineer will develop products and provide solutions to meet client deliverables in the Subsea controls portfolio. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities:• Design electrical & electronics parts, units, systems for Oil&Gas Production Control Systems• Analyse of system requirements for electrical & electronic design (including electrical calculation & simulation, prototypes building)• Prepare test procedures, qualification procedures for parts & units for Oil&Gas Production Control Systems• Participate actively in electronics & electrical design reviews• Work closely with the business unit, other engineering teams, vendors or customers to ensure application development meets product specification requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:• BSc/MSc in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent• Working knowledge and experience of design control electronics: – low & extremely low voltage – analogue & digital circuits (including microcontrollers) – typical automation solution (based on PLCs)• Ability to read electronics & electrical schematics• Familiarity with the design tools like AutoCAD, Altium Designer, Spice or equivalents• Good English verbal and written communication skills
Desired Characteristics:• Familiarity with product lifecycle process (requirements, design, manufacturing, testing, customer supporting)• Experience delivering projects on both small and large scales• Familiarity with LV & EMC directives, engineering norms (electrical), CE, RCM, FCC• Working knowledge of typical communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, Profibus, CAN)• Working knowledge of typical communication interfaces (Ethernet, RS232)• Experience in building in running prototypes (including soldering)• Working knowledge of the Offshore Oil and Gas industry would be considered an asset
