Role Summary:The Global Quality Leader will lead the global quality assurance organization within the ~$500M BHGE Measurement & Sensing business. The Quality Leader has accountability and responsibility to ensure quality systems, processes and operations of all global M&S sites and functions are meeting quality objectives to support profitable growth and create a customer centric, total quality culture.
Essential Responsibilities:This role will report directly to the VP, Measurement and Sensing, and dotted line to the business division Director of Quality & Continuous Improvement.Lead and develop a team of global quality managers and professionals for the M&S P&LDefine the business quality strategy and objectivesDrive an integrated Customer Experience focus across M&S, leading programs to improve key stages of the customer journey impacting Customer Satisfaction & Customer LoyaltyDrive timely and effective resolution of all customer issuesLead efforts to identify the root cause of non-conformances and ensure that appropriate and effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented to eliminate the issue and prevent reoccurrencePromote a quality culture and pass no defect mindset across all sites and functions, implement best practices and lessons learned across the global organizationProvide quality coaching and influence leadership, peers, and employees to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfactionEnsure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory standardsSustain, simplify and improve an ISO9001 level Quality Management System of policies, standards, SOPs, and best practicesKeep the management staff informed of the status, adequacy, and overall effectiveness of the quality management systemLead Quality Operations & Management Reviews for the P&LExecute cost of poor quality reduction measures to drive cost reduction and improve competitive positionEstablish the culture to stop the line; lead resolution of work stoppages to support customer on time deliverySupport and approve New Product Introduction programs to flow down quality requirements, feedback lessons learned from previous product experience, and ensure smooth transition to productionOversee the internal audit program and drive timely closure of findings
Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or universitySubstantial quality or operations experienceStrong people leadership experienceWillingness and ability to travel when needed (25% travel)
Desired Characteristics:Influential, energetic and enthusiastic leader, with the drive, ambition and resilience to make things happen and deliver outstanding performanceProven capability to work cross-functionallyGlobal or multi-site leadership experience, including managing managersDemonstrated success in growing and coaching high performance teamsStrong knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100Manufacturing related experience in a regulated industryInternal audit experienceRCA leadership experienceKnowledge of common Quality tools and Continuous Improvement methods, including but not limited to RCA, CAPA, Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, SPC, DOE, and Gauge R&RBlack Belt Certified or equivalent Quality certificationProven track record of delivering successful projects and initiativesProven leadership skills; ability to effectively influence at all levels of the organizationExperience leading and implementing changeExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProcess mindset with strong focus on implementing sustainable improvementsIn depth knowledge of product fulfilment processes, product development lifecycles, design change and document change control, manufacturing/production process control methodologiesPrior industry experience and familiarity with Measurement & Sensing products and servicesAttention to detail, excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving skills
