Role Summary:The Instrument Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others. The Role of an Instrument Engineer consists of design of the electrical and instrumentation measurement loops, to be used for a gas turbine driven trains, working in an environment with potential risk of explosion.
Essential Responsibilities:The Instrument Engineer must:· Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned individual and team projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements· Provide technical leadership to personnel/ cross functional teams supporting the assigned project· Implement plans with guidance to meet technical requirements of assigned components and systems· Develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues/ problems· Lead or participate in teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues· Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements· Participate and present or review in technical and program reviews· Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures. In particular:a) Design the electrical and Instrumentation part of gas turbine trains through the application of International Standard (e.g. ATEX, CSA, NEC/NEMA, IECex) and International Certification required on the basis of installation country (e.g. ARH, PMI, ABS, TR-CU, IEC, AS)b) Design the arrangement of the instrumentation loop, by using commercial 3D modeling tools, considering the installation condition (temperature, humidity, etc.)c) Issue technical documentations (i.e. purchase specifications, drawings, etc.), guaranty quality, completeness, consistency and alignment with Customer specification and comply on time with delivery pland) Verify and improve electrical installation to standardize solution in collaboration with Manufacturing departmente) Face Customers in deep technical review meeting demonstrating expertise and full ownership of his/her discipline
Qualifications/Requirements:· Master of Science in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with excellent graduation with proven years of experience in Engineering· Familiarity with electrical installation and cable routing· Open minded to new software solution, to deeply automate issuing of drawings and specifications· Technical expertise and leadership· Effective team player· Clear thinking attitude· Effective problem solving abilities· Interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively with at least two levels of the organization above him and external · Strong focus on quality· Fluent in spoken and written English· Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad· EU Work Permit.Strong oral and written communication skills.
