Role Summary:Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures (technical Bachelor’s Degree).
Essential Responsibilities:Support the Shop Floor in troubleshooting: disposition of Non-Conformance Reports (e.g. Rework/Return to Vendor/Scrap)Support the Shopfloor in reducing the Standard Cost and Lead Time of a product.Support Supplier improvement activitiesDevelop manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction and production tools to reduce cost and cycle timesAbility to use statistical analysis to identify trends and identify cause and effect relationshipsParticipate in LEAN initiative, and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvementsManage multiple projects Ensure all Mechanical engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical/historical base for future reference and to meet customer / end user requirementsParticipate in production meetingsWork with Production, Planner, Buyers, Quality and HSE on improvement activities.
Qualifications/Requirements:A Degree in Engineering is preferred.
