Our work is diverse and spans government, defence, security and infrastructure markets. We pride ourselves on being a trusted partner, helping take on and successfully deliver these challenges.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for people who can challenge the status-quo; innovators with the vision and drive to take our business to the next level. You’ll need to be an articulate thought-leader with an inquisitive mind, able to critically analyse situations and create value for us and our customers. We’re after some entrepreneurial talent coupled with the persistence and resilience to see things through. Passion and energy are as important as intellectual curiosity and forward thinking.
What will you do?
The roles are varied – we want people who can work in diverse jobs across our business. Assignments will differ and we need flexible people able to undertake both internal and external facing work.
So what sort of things will you do? You could be working on an internal change programme helping us to transform our business, or undertaking analysis to support our strategy and business development activities.
You might be asked to lead a team to deliver a complex project, or selected to work in our advisory teams helping tosolve some of the most exciting problems for our clients. You could be part of a bid team, creating commercial solutions to win new work, or maybe you’ve had a bright idea and are commissioned to bring it to life.
There is no typical job. Some assignments could be for a few months, others for a few years. You could be based in our Leatherhead office, or with a client or partner in their office. There is lots of variety – it’s an exciting place to be!
2. Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Essential: you must hold an accredited MBA (AACSB, AMBA and/or EQUIS) from a recognised university. You could have earned this full-time, part-time or via an executive route. You may hold other qualifications or professional certifications, which is great, but you must have an MBA too.
We are seeking a broad range of people to join us, from junior to director level. Your experience could be from a range of industries or sectors, but we are looking for people with demonstrable commercial acumen. Knowledge of Scrum (Agile) development process would be a bonus.
Skills & Knowledge
Thinking – strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are required. You’ll need to be able to delve into the detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture. The ideal candidates will have the ability to juggle rapidly changing priorities, multi-task, switch context between projects and bring ideas to life at speed.
Communications – you need to be a good communicator, someone who can put across a compelling perspective and hold their own in debates. Our business is complex and the best communicators can distil complex situations and explain in a way that others can understand. You also need to be an engaging speaker, able to keep the attention of others whilst getting your message across.
People – the heart of our business is our people and you’ll need strong people skills to be successful. You should be comfortable working in teams, both real and virtual, and networking at all levels in the organisation. You need to be comfortable interacting with a range of external and internal stakeholders including clients.
Technology – we are looking for people who are tech-savvy; business digitalisation is important to us and it needs to be for you too. You need to be familiar with MS Office and hopefully more – everyone can use PowerPoint, but can you use Prezi, Visme or Haiku Deck?
Drive – you must be a self-starter and quick learner able to get things done with a minimum level of guidance/supervision and should be ready to work independently or in a team. We are looking for problem solvers who can see an issue and fix it. A high level of motivation, flexibility, drive, and personal commitment is essential.
3. Important information
Essential: you must hold or be able to obtain UK security clearance to work in these roles. If you don’t already hold a form of UK security clearance, don’t worry, we can help you to apply for it as part of the recruitment process but ideally you will have been resident in the UK for a minimum of the last 5 years in order to obtain clearance.
You need to be willing to undertake some travel; our clients are spread around the UK and internationally. Being able to drive is a big plus. Longer-term international assignments may also be available for those willing to go overseas.
Our ideal candidates will be full-time, but we are willing to consider part-time candidates if we think you can add something to our team.
What to do next?
If you are interested, submit your CV and a covering letter telling us why we should hire you (try to keep the letter to less than 2 sides of A4 – this is not an MBA dissertation!).
The best applicants make it easy for us to see how you match what we want; tell us what skills, knowledge and experience you can bring and how you can make a difference. We understand that the content of MBA’s can vary, so please put the subjects/modules you studied on your CV.
Closing deadline – we are recruiting on a rolling basis, so we will keep going until we find the right people.
