Aker Solutions’ Maintenance team based in Mobile Alabama), is responsible for manufacturing subsea equipment for the oil and gas industry. We need mechanical engineer who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Oil and Gas market.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • The primary role will be to support the Mobile AL Facility Maintenance Team in the engineering of expansions, modifications and maintenance of existing facilities and Production equipment with emphasis on continued improvement, reliability and preventative/predictive maintenance programs
  • Initiate action that will enhance the operation’s safety and environmental record. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and plans along with federal, state and local regulations
  • Project management of engineering activities, including inter-disciplinary coordination, contractor management, and operational interfaces. Able to provide clear project definition, communication, and objectives
  • Plan and coordinate construction schedules and methods to meet milestones and budgetary limits
  • Work cooperatively as a team member on a multi-discipline team to evaluate the feasibility and cost of expansion and modification projects, in conjunction with land, permitting, facilities, HSE, and the operations team

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical Preferred (Must be from Accredited University)

Experience: 5+ years heavy manufacturing equipment experience and previous onshore facility/pipeline design experience is desired
