COO, Quality & Continuous Improvement based in Port Klang, Malaysia is responsible for delivering Quality Management and Continuous Improvement Service for product, projects and overall site. The team consists of 45 staffs collaboratively managing Quality Management Function . We are now seeking for a dynamic and talented candidate to fulfill position of Quality Engineer for machining and cladding scope.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
-To prepare and issue for use, Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans and quality procedures in order to ensure functional departments, especially engineering, procurement and production, are aware of contractual Quality requirements.
-To liaise with Customer and Third Party QA representatives in pursuance of and compliance with contractual obligations.
-To coordinate the improvement actions for non conformance of products and processes, and close NCR upon verification of effectiveness and completeness
-To lead group of QC inspectors in coordinating day to day task and support manufacturing teams
-To provide clarity and directions to QC and manufacturing team on quality related issues
-To support project team on project quality related functions
-To conduct ad hoc audits or investigations into particular quality problems so that root causes are identified and effective corrective and preventive measures are put in place within the Management System
-To work with document controllers to ensure that manufacturing documentations are completed and compiled according to project & client requirements
-To ensure that project documentation are provided correct, and of the latest revision and in timely order for manufacturing use
-To provide guidance and general support and awareness training to all managers and supervisors (and others) in the operation, maintenance and continual improvement of the company’s Operating System
-To assist in the maintenance and revision as required, of Aker Solutions’ processes and procedures relating to Quality Assurance core capabilities.
-To assist with provision of periodic reports on the project performance indicators and trends.
-To provide direction, guidance, support and development of a Quality culture in other departments.
Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
-Minimum a degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent /technical qualifications
-Trained in ISO9001 audits
-Formal training on the ISO 9001 QMS would be an advantage
-Minimum 3-5 years experience in closely related industry (cladding/ machining/mechanical design, manufacturing and service) in a technical role(s) with at least 2 of these years being in a Quality Assurance responsible function with similar responsibilities as described herein.
-CSWIP 3.1 and above will be given highest consideration
