Senior Project Engineer – (ECR00014K), Canada

Our services include execution of major revamps and grassroots projects across petroleum refining, gas processing, liquefied natural gas, and associated offsite and environmental facilities worldwide. 

Jacobs is currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to work on client-site for 8 months in the Middle East.

The purpose is to successfully deliver a large/complex engineeering multi-disciplinary project or a portfolio of smaller projects by leading multi-office, multi-disciplinary teams, comprising:

Compliance with the scope, providing the deliverables that enable the client to ultimately realise the project benefits.
Ensuring all work complies with agreed standards (quality and specification). Ensuring work is delivered on schedule to the agreed budget and ensure any exceptances are escalated through the appropriate channels Maintain client relationships and keep the client informed of progress and what the current status of the project means in terms of completion.
Deliver a safe working culture within project teams that you are responsible for and promote safety within all aspects of your work Train and mentor your teams so that we can add further value to our client offering Job Description Understand your clients requirements and the impact of the success factors of the project.
Ensure you are able to meet the scope with defined completion criteria Assemble your key team resources to deliver the project(s), and manage and motivate this group to achieve the required results.
Use your team to develop a schedule by identifying the activities which will produce the products. Identify the dependencies between these activities, and define the stages to ensure that we deliver quality.
Measure revenue, productivity and quality.
Communicate: Keep the client, your team, and your  (Manager of Projects) informed.
Make the client’s journey within the project, and involve them at key project stages
Lead your team: Let your team know how their role fits within the overall project. Maintain face-to-face contact as much as possible, don’t ask them to do what you would not be willing to do, keep them motivated, check their progress regularly, challenge the team to achieve high standards.


  • 5+ years of experience in coordination and alignment in interoffice/ work share related engineering deliverables
  • Ability to work in the Middle East for 8 months or travel to Middle East
  • Project Engineering/Management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook
  • Prior experience within the Oil & Gas industry is highly preferred
