Role Summary:Sr Director – Data & Analytics is responsible for the development, implementation and sustenance of an enterprise strategy and roadmap of Global Master Data initiatives. This role leads directly an internal team and, collaborates extensively across Global business teams (spanning Finance, Commercial, Services, Supply Chain, Engineering, Global Operations and others) to analyze, design, develop, implement, maintain and enhance Master Data domains.
Essential Responsibilities:This role is responsible to implement MDM as a discipline through an evolving program of individual and focused projects. Building an appropriate, well-functioning governance framework leads to the success of an MDM program. A strong alignment of MDM program to O&G Business vision and publishing its value through a set of metrics is key to building the trust for the MDM program. This role clearly articulates the MDM Vision, Strategy, Governance, Roles & Responsibilities, Process, Technology and Metrics to his/her direct team, the extended team and to the Organization. This role collaborates with Data Security team and incorporate their recommendations on the Data Classification and Security on sensitive Mastered data. Continue to scan and adopt products and niche skills in MDM pillars that can influence speed to value. Plan and Champion Initiatives that deliver value to the Business functions and position such initiatives for funding via standard S2 processes.In the role of Sr Director – Data & Analytics, you will:

  • Align the Business Vision to a single, unifying, strategic MDM Vision and Strategy
  • Breakdown the MDM Vision and Strategy to articulate the Scope of the MDM Programs
  • Connect key Business drivers (such as operational effectiveness, customer intimacy, and product or service leadership) to MDM initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate ways to sustain well-functioning and well-integrated technology, people and processes to extract value from MDM solutions
  • Articulate and Execute on the Strategy to Manage Master Data assets within the organization
  • Breakdown the Strategy into measurable outcomes such as creating an effective governance structure, addressing the organizational challenges, assigning process ownership, implementing MDM technology infrastructure and establishing metrics to measure benefits and success
  • Collaboratively build MDM governance for decision rights and accountability metrics to create a culture to author, store, enrich, publish, consume and maintain master data.
  • Build and manage a unified MDM organization by bringing together a mix of direct and matrixed group of individuals from different parts of the organization and different levels of seniority to fulfill different roles
  • Prioritize different data domain areas, source systems and consuming communities to determine key processes and institute change management (where consumers are not creators). In addition to these, ensure there is visibility and processes for ongoing MDM maintenance to routinely profile for quality and corrective action
  • Determine the technologies that are needed to enable the MDM vision and strategy, and where and how this technology is sourced
  • Identify Strategic and Process Level Organizational metrics and build KPIs that measures the impact of MDM program on those organizational metrics
  • Qualifications/Requirements:Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 10 years of domain expertise and experience in Information Management functions focused on Data Integration, Transformation and Consumption
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in building cross function teams and being a Liaison to the Business Functions and Leaders
  • Minimum 5 years of People Management experienceEligibility Requirements:

  • Lead teams that developed, enhanced and maintained data extraction, transformation and load for MDM purposes
  • Deep Understanding ETL tools and their capabilities
  • Manage Data Integration Hubs for data modeling, data mappings, data validation, hierarchy management and overall security to enhance and support MDM matching rules, data quality and validation processes
  • Leverage MDM suite of tools to design, develop, enhance and support MDM domains
  • Lead data governance function across organization using industry best practices
  • Evolve MDM hubs to reflect the best available enterprise-wide data. Drive data standardization of key attributes using tools and other services
  • Proactively identify, plan and lead MDM enhancements, implementations, operations & support. Lead MDM operations from data ingestion to data provisioning. Build knowledge base for the enterprise-wide data flows and processes around them
  • Build and Manage technical and functional MDM skills and technologies, Data Quality tools that leverages and integrates with Enterprise database systems, analytical tools and Big Data platforms
  • Define & implement measurable KPIs for Speed to Value and success of enterprise MDM initiative
  • BB and/or Lean certified
  • Strong program / project management skill
