Role Summary:The Subsea Power & Processing (SP&P) Systems Engineer (SE) will have a key role in SP&P Projects/Programs in all phases from specification definition, design, testing to final delivery, working under general direction from the Principal Engineers, Project Engineering Manager or the Project Manager. The projects may vary in scope from studies, product development programs, product deliveries to EPC projects.
Essential Responsibilities:In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and affect short-term and long-term business goals.The SP&P Systems Engineer shall cover the technologies required to understand, specify and provide system and product design proposals within his/her area of expertise (Subsea Power, Subsea Processing, and/or Subsea All-electric).

  • Remain current and serve as a recognized engineer in the state of the art within own technical specialty to anticipate, develop and apply technology to current and future business opportunities
  • Ensure that client and engineering requirements are clearly communicated to and adhered to by project engineering team.
  • Provide engineering support to programs/projects, teams working on performance, cost reduction and quality initiatives
  • Leverage expertise to resolve problems in the field or during the manufacturing processes
  • Prepare engineering input to design reviews and other meetings.
  • Prepare, review, issue and file project documents, reports, procedures, etc.
  • Make recommendations after analysis of data using quality tools
  • Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company
  • Promote and ensure compliance to company and regulatory EHS requirements and Quality management systems at all time
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or other relevant discipline
  • Relevant experience
  • Experience within one or more of the following areas in the subsea industry: Power, Processing or All-Electric
  • English fluent verbal and written.
  • Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience in the technology aspects of designing, building and testing Subsea Products and systems.
  • Strong technical attitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems Experience with studies/FEEDs within the subsea power and processing domain
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Subsea installation, operation, maintenance and repair requirements.
  • Experience with reliability evaluation and calculation.
  • Familiar with International Standards within the field
